Defining the bedroom

After moving in, on top of my to do list was to find a bed. I had been sleeping on a Murphy bed for two years and the new owner of the studio inherited the one prized possession. I was without a bed and I had nowhere to sleep.

On the first night in the new place, I tried to sleep on my 5 foot sofa. It by far the most painful sleep I ever had. I moved to the floor and into my sleeping bag on top of a featherbed. This actually was worst. All I could feel was the hardwood floors. The next night, I upgraded the temporary bed situation to an Aero bed (pictured above). After a week of sleeping on that, I gave in and decided a grown up space needed a grown up bed. This lead to my search for the perfect bed.

Perfect bed:
1. Sleek and chic looks yet comfy when you sleep
2. Allow me to sit up in bed (tall enough headboard)
3. Flexibility in style (one that could fit in many different spaces)
4. Strong enough to stand alone

Two weeks ago, after a serious search, I found the perfect bed. Stay tuned for pictures!

This used to be my one of my favorite blogs but then you stopped writing. I would log-in and nothing would have changed for months. It was so disappointing. So now you have sold the studio and moved. I'm glad for you. Glad you are back to writing. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds. Best wishes with the new place.

I had the same criteria! I had always loved a particular bed so a splurge of mine was to purchase that exact bed - no search needed. Love the minimal look in your bedroom.

Like the first post i clicked on so many times to find nothing. Why I'm back here now in a new year is strange. But it paid off and that's good. Glad to see some posts & photos.
I've been thinking of putting my rice poster bed in storage and getting a leather headboard. I can't wait to see what you got???
